7th Annual Light Up Donegal Cliffs for a Good Cause |
---|
Posted on Nov 24th, 2019 Comments (0) For the past six years, luminaries have lined the streets of Donegal Cliffs the evening of December 24th. It is a beautiful display. It is also special because, once the costs of the luminary supplies are covered, the remaining dollars are donated to a charity. Last year, through the generosity of those who helped by donating money and/volunteering, 2200 luminaries covered both sides of every street, and we raised over $1519 was donated to Bethlehem On Broad, a charitable organization that provides food and warm clothing to those in need during the holidays.
Harry and I have once again volunteered to take on the coordination duties, and have been working with others to begin the planning for this year. We are now at the point where we need your help, and the following information outlines how you can help: DONATE. We need to be sure the supply costs are covered. So please take a minute now to make a donation. An easy way to donate is using the DCHA Online Payments feature, which you can access by clicking on the following link: http://www.donegalcliffs.org/payment.php. You can also access the same DCHA Online Payments by going directly to the DCHA website, and clicking on the 'Online Payments’ link. When using the DCHA Online Payments, you can choose to donate using a PayPal account or by using your credit card. Please note that there is a small processing fee that is associated with using the online options. Or if you prefer, you can write a check made out to DCHA, and mail or drop it off to: Debbie and Harry Saxe, 8003 Tipperary Court N Dublin, OH 43017. In order to purchase all of the supplies we need, we will need to receive your donation by December 7. All funds donated above the supply costs this year will be donated to the Dublin Food Pantry, a charity that provides food and necessities to those in need. To get things moving, Harry and I have already donated the first $100. Thank you in advance for your generosity. VOLUNTEER. This is an easy volunteer opportunity - close to home, no meetings, and each job takes no more than a couple hours. It is a fun holiday activity so bring your family and friends! This year we have an opportunity to sign up electronically using SignUpGenius - thanks to Daniela Lohse. So please take a moment to sign-up using the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F49A5AE23A2FF2-7thannual. For those who prefer to sign up using email, please email Daniela Lohse and myself directly at dllohse@gmail.com, and zippy8003@gmail.com if you can help with any of the tasks below. If you choose this method to volunteer, please be sure we have your name/email, the task(s) you want to do, and the names of others joining you. Assembly - Dec. 22 from 1-3. We will assign you to one of the two assembly locations to get the bags ready for distribution. Distribution - Dec 24 from 1-3. We will assign you to one of the two assembly locations and show you how/where to distribute the filled bags. Candle Lighting - Dec 24 from 5:45-6. although we ask people to light their own candles at 5:30 (and their neighbors' if they are not home), we need several volunteers to drive around and light any that were missed. Bag Pick Up - Dec 25 from 3-4. We will ask people to pick up their own, but volunteers are needed to pick up any remaining bags. Look for Sunday email updates on the progress of this project. If you have any questions, please email me separately (zippy8003@gmail.com) and I will be happy to respond. With your generosity, Donegal Cliffs can again provide a beautiful display and help someone in need during this holiday season! Sincerely, Debbie Saxe |

Building Restrictions |
Posted on Dec 25th, 2017 Comments (0) The building restrictions for the Donegal Cliffs neighborhood are documented in the Planned Unit Development document (PUD) which is city administered and is available in the documents section on the website and at this link. All residents should be familiar with the few pages of restrictions. Refer to the PUD before erecting or changing anything on your lot.
The fence along Dublin Road is owned and maintained by the Donegal Cliffs Homeowners Association. Nothing should be attached to it without Board approval.
